Note to convention center: spend $, run spellcheck
The Indy received an e-mail from a reader who reportedly shot a photo of a sign outside the elevator at the new $221 million Raleigh Convention Center, noting that all such signs contain this mistake. Maybe the letter “g” would have put the project over budget. Or perhaps droppin’ the g is merely reflective of a regional dialect.

It's really easy to overlook a missing letter or inverted letters in the middle of a word like that. 9/21/2008 10:05:36 PM |

what is the point of a convention center? Why wouldn't you just build an arena type venue? 9/22/2008 12:35:57 AM |

so big business organizations and trade shows could come here, specially since RTP is a hip place to be for business now days. It's a pretty nice upscale place. I took pictures there for media use when it was opened and bagged myself two dinner plates, which apparently were sold at $1000 a person. I kept coming back "sorry, I forgot to take a picture of that, can I have that?". 9/22/2008 1:01:31 AM |
