Actually, the poll focuses on Democrat white America. So, in other words, if Obama doesn't win it is because of racist "progressives". (Racist conservatives wouldn't have voted for him in the first place).


Race aside, blue collar Democrats in the rust belt and New England will find far more things than just Obama's race to be wary of (perceived elitism, anti-gun platform, perceived Islamic sympathy).

Either way, t is easier for the left just to blame the whole thing on racism instead of addressing the fact that they nominated a political lightweight with a golden tongue.

I think you're reading it wrong; let me help. What you should be taking away is, "There are some white Democrats who would normally vote Democrat regardless of the candidate who are now less likely to do that because Barack Obama is black." There is nothing in there making any judgement about whether a vote for Obama is an intelligent and correct decision; it's about deviation from the party line.
