A. There are not enough portajohns. Lines were up to 30 minutes long to go pee. B. They tore down the woods people used to pee in. C. The man is cracking down on public urination. I spoke with several cops and they said public urination was the biggest problem of the day. D. There is a building with >30 stalls right inside the fairgrounds not being used because "it will get dirty"
Is there a way we can pay the state fairground for use of those facilities? the restroom situation is a lot worse this year than it has ever been, and something has to be done. 9/22/2008 11:51:54 AM |

Quote : | "Behavior issues 'typical' for rival game Campus Police made eight arrests Saturday
Campus Police arrested eight people Saturday during the game and in tailgating areas surrounding Carter-Finley, which Capt. Jon Barnwell said was typical for a game against a rival like ECU.
According to Barnwell, 62 people were involved in activities where police had to give some sort of citation or refer them to the Office of Student Conduct, and most were related to alcohol use.
"We had approximately 14 students either issued a citation or referred to the University Office of Student Conduct," he said.
Most of the alcohol consumption problems were from underage drinkers, but Barnwell said one student referred to Student Conduct was of age.
"Through his high levels of intoxication, we wanted him to be seen by Student Conduct as well," he said.
Behavior issues are usually heightened during big rival games, Barnwell said, and since the Wolfpack won, some students wanted to celebrate on the field.
"We had two individuals arrested for coming onto the field," he said.
Overall, Barnwell said students were understanding.
"We appreciate students understanding safety issues in regards to coming on field," he said. "Coming on the field, you are subject to arrest based on second-degree criminal trespassing."
With long lines for portable restrooms, some students were instead using wooded areas nearby tailgating zones, and Barnwell said there were some referrals for public urination." |

Mark my words. The solution for this problem at the next game will be an increase in police patrols to deter people from urinating in public. God forbid we ever get more porta-johns.9/22/2008 12:13:05 PM |

Haha, that sucks. Who even enforces that shit.... the RPD?
I can't let go of this mental image of a bunch of cops sitting in a briefing room and the captain holding up a photo of some dude taking a piss..."This perp peed between 5 different pairs of SUVs just last week. If you see him, kick his ass out!"9/22/2008 12:18:15 PM |

When they sell parking passes for Trinity and TX lots, it is completely unreasonable to have 3 port a jons. Noone could get an event permit offering that level of amenities. 9/22/2008 12:54:58 PM |

if a person is sneaky enough to bring airplane bottles into the stadium and mix them into a drink then surely people are sneaky enough to pee without being caught by authorities.9/22/2008 1:15:36 PM |

i didn't make this thread to start a bitch fest... i see a genuine problem and would like to start the process in making more facilities available. (such as the fairground restroom right by the big tree off of trinity.) 9/22/2008 1:47:58 PM |

speaking of sneaking liquor in.
I stumbled on the perfect way to sneak liquor in -- stuff it in a diaper bag.
we took our daughter to the W&M game and i was holding the diaper bag. the guy asks me to open it up. I just open the flap, and he barely glances at it and lets me go.
I'll definitely be stuffing aeroplane bottles in there going forward like any responsible father should do.]] 9/22/2008 1:48:19 PM |

Well, this was solved by some ECU girls who were tailgating next to us, so females, here you go:
1) Remove fugly boots. 2) Put hand up trashy jean skirt. 3) Remove panties (be sure to clutch them in your left hand for the duration) 4) Squat, making as much uproar about what you are about to do as possible 5) holding your panties about your hand, urinate mightily upon the pavement, and 6) (optional) Squeal with delight. 9/22/2008 1:49:12 PM |

^yeah i used to work at RBC center doing security and diaper bags were the way to go. Also, if you want to bring food in, just say "I'm diabetic" and 99% of the time no questions will be asked. 9/22/2008 2:46:29 PM |

i didn't even realize it was still in my hand till i got to my seat and the event staff guy gave me a sideways look. but he didn't care either.
but seriously, i paid $100 dollars to park in the damn TX lot this season. thats enough of a ripoff to begin with, but they can only put 2 fuckin portajohns out there? c'mon. i know how much those things cost to rent/empty, and they could easily pay for it.

I agree 100% with this thread. I was in the Stadium West lot and I'm not exactly sure how many were on the other side along trinity rd., but there were only 4 on the long side. I know for sure there used to be at least 2 more, if not a couple more than that. My friend and I commented how they used to have more and needed them back. I'm sure there's a way we can let NCSU know the right way somehow right? 9/22/2008 5:19:30 PM |

NC State Admin #1: 60,000. That's how many we can fit in Carter-Finley now.
NC State Admin #2: So what's that, like... *counts in his head*.... 20?
NC State Admin #3: Whoa dude, 20? Do you think we're made of money?
NC State Admin #1: Yeah man, 20 is waaaay too many. Try 10.
NC State Admin #2: Actually, you know, you're right. 10 sounds good.
NC State Admin #3: Guys, we could probably get away with only 6 portajohns, to be honest.
NC State Admins #1 & #2: Sounds good to us. 6 Portajohns. 60,000 people. Done. 9/22/2008 7:57:55 PM |
