Ugly College Logos - Ugly FuglyWhat's worse than having an ugly logo? Copying one. How many students enrolled thinking they were accepted to Stanford before they realized the tree was missing from their logo? The giant "S" doesn't even stand for their school name (note the lack of an "s" aside from in the word "State"). My younger brother will be excited to know there is a college that embraces plagiarism awaiting his application." |

He is considered extremely aggressive and is known to snarl and flex at will (as pictured on the left). One or two jumps on the head will provoke him further, but three direct jumps on the head will knock him out for good." |

This was clearly written by a Carolina fan (putting Duke up for no real reason, much?)...
Note all the hate for ACC and NC schools while UNC is left out.
Also the hate on Kansas and the hate on Colorado State Rams (though I wouldn't disagree they have an ugly logo).

Don't know about the logos, but NCSU began classes in 1889, two years prior to Stanford (opening in 1891 according to http://www.stanford.edu/about/facts/founding.html). Maybe someone should write to the DF who came up with this site and tell him that NCSU has dibs on Stanford? 9/22/2008 4:53:44 PM |

^Block S has been State's since 1890. Stanford opened in 1891. 9/22/2008 4:55:36 PM |

I wouldn't be surprised if our block s logo is the original one. Ours was first used in 1890 according to Wikipedia. Stanford was founded in 1885, so it could really go either way.
n/m...See ^^

It looks more like the bear is being held back by the "C" than actually hugging it....

Well, since he mentioned just about every other college in NC I would have felt left out if he hadn't mentioned us. To defend the colleges, most of the logos have been around for decades, certainly before any of the similarity references he made. 9/22/2008 5:32:11 PM |
