I guess they're in the Guster/early Dave Matthews mold but with a touch of something reggae-ish

I like their first two albums and their live cd, Any Time Now; Delicate Few and Black Rock off that live cd are probably my favorite songs of theirs. After they released that live cd, I honestly don't know much about them because I stopped listening to them

I saw them at the House of Blues like 4 or 5 years ago and it was pretty good, but I've heard that their concerts are pretty much the same thing every time

pretty good comparison. but i hate hate HATE when frat boys attempt anything reggae-ish. just unnerves me to no end.

that said, I like Guster, and early DMB. eh.

Crazy Game of Poker is one of the most annoying, drawn-out songs in the history of music. It's like 6 minutes of 3 cords.

I saw them a few years back at Koka Booth, and it was a bunch of teenagers acting like they were on spring break. They kept trying to crowd surf to the point where I finally stepped back and refused to shoulder another one of those little shits. It was the cool thing to do that night apparently....couldn't stand anywhere near the front half of the cobblestones without some teenybopper being passed around every 5 minutes. Almost made me drop my Foster's oil can

I tend to agree with this, but I'm a pretty big Dispatch fan and some might consider them to be in that category, what do you think about them?

lol what, you didn't like his Prince - Starfish & Coffee cover? My girlfriend at the time was like, "man I really like this guy, I'm going to download some of his songs tomorrow" and all I could do was

I saw OAR once about 7 years ago at Ziggy's.... dear lord I wanted to shoot myself. Their new stuff is a little different, but back then all their stuff massed into one continuous 2 hour long 3 or 4 chord song.

actually, I rather like Dispatch from time to time. They feel quite different than OAR to me.

Well i was looking forward to this concert. i've never seen them before, but i figured koka booth is a nice place to go, even if the band does suck. now it's going to be windy, rainy and cold. not sure how much fun i'm going to have.

not really worried so much about the wind and rain, i got a table in the covered seating. I've never seen them live, but I like their live stuff as well as their studio stuff (which is rare, usually I'm not a big fan of live "at teh concert" recordings).

friend of mine has 2 tickets for sale, if anyone's interested

i have it on good authority that she'd probably sell them for less than they cost, since it's not like she can use them

pm me if you're interested, and i'll give you her number
