I'll give you $5 to borrow a set of dell XP home edition recovery disks, or buy them for $10.

I have a laptop that died. I'd like to reload the OS and drivers (the key is on the back of the laptop). I'll be happy to do it at your house.

I'll come in, reload the OS and drivers, and leave you with $5 ... or, I'll buy them outright for $10.

Let me know.

There's nobody's house you could go to just download a few files on a flash drive and install later?

you seem to have access to a computer with internet access right now - why not download the drivers now and do it yourself?

Thanks Synapse, we'll see how it goes. I might try that. I thought if you had an OEM disk the key would work, but who knows ... I'll try a few things.

you might be able to , but its probably just easier to download a windows xp 9 in 1 (and run virus scan on after downloading)
