i keep it organized by band name, then album, but that's about it

i only tend to mess with tags when the track numbers aren't right, as it messes up the playlist on my mp3 player

how many gigs you got? i'm hoping to get a 320 gig external for xmas, since i realize my little 80 gig one isn't going to suffice much longer

I still am to an extent. I have my music/music folder oragnized like hell, but downloaded music goes into the regular music folder, so I can easily put them into the right genre's. I haven't done it in a while though, so it's kinda sloppy right now

I wouldn't say I'm overly meticulous about it, but I do keep everything with the following folder structure/naming scheme:

./My Music/<artist>/<album>/[Artist-SongName.xxx]
