April 26th 1992 there was a riot on the streets
Tell me where were you you were sittin' home watchin' your tv
While I was participating in some anarchy
First spot we hit it was my liquor store
I finally got all the alcohol I can't afford
With red lights flashin' time to retire
Then we turned that liquor store into a structure fire
Next stop as the music shop
It only took one brick to make the window drop
Finally we got our own p.a.
Where do you think I got this guitar that you're hearing today
When we returned to the pad to unload everything,
It dawned on me that I need new home furnishings
So once again we filled the van until it was full
Since that day my livin' room's been more comfortable
Cause everybody in the hood has had it up to here
It's getting harder and harder every year
Some kids went in a store with thief mother
When she came out she was gettin some pampers
They said it was for the black man
They said it was for the mexican
But not for the white man
But if you look at the streets it wasn't about Rodney King
It's bout this fucked up situation and the fuckin police
It's about coming up and staying on top or screamin' 187
on a mofo cop
It's not written on the papers, but its written on the wall
National guard smoke from all around

I'm not happy about it... Mainly because I see my future job prospects slipping in to oblivion... Not a good time to be in the job market like I will be in 5 or 6 months...

V the article is an opinion piece on a blog.. jesus...

That article says a depression is UNLIKELY without the bail out and LIKELY if it is passed.

I'm ok with a freeze for a day where no one can access their money before the gov goes OH SHIT and helps. I wonder if that would cost less than this bail out that helps the rich bankers who made a huge boob boo

^^Learn how to read, you boob. It says a depression is unlikely either way.

Unfortunately, the writer of that article is grossly underestimating the negative ramifications of a financial meltdown.

i've never been a fan of the bailout...this is a good thing

and seriously, FUCK the constituents...i'm glad this happened, but the vast majority of the people who were against it were only against it because it would (conceivably) hurt their wallets

i hate that the uneducated are allowed to have an equal vote with me

that said, i hate that the unscrupulous are also allowed to have an equal vote

bring on the dictatorship

I believe the government is vastly using it's fear factor they've been using since the day they took office to scare the bejeesus out of us into thinking the end of the world if this bail out goes down.

Fuck em

I disagree, sort of. If you don't have some level of fear/respect for your government, chaos would ensue.

I don't understand how a bailout could possibly benefit McCain.

The worse the economy gets, the more likely it is that Obama wins. Right now he looks like a shoo-in.

^^^^ Even that wouldn't make sense. Only 30% of Republicans voted in favor of the bailout even with Bush's support of it, while 60% of Democrats did.
