It beeps when you push the buttons and when it's finished cooking.

either like a small speaker or a 1" or so diameter small black disk. Would have 2 wires going to it and is probably mounted on one of the walls.

I don't actually recommend you take your microwave apart, but if you do, unplug it and let it sit for a while before opening it up.

a lot of newer ones will let you adjust the volume of the beeping
