ate there like 5 years ago...worst ripoff ever paid $100 for a couple of pieces of meat and shrimp dipped in some cooking broth 10/2/2008 11:03:55 PM |

It usually tastes good, but there's just not enough food. It's too expensive to have to cook it yourself. If you have to go, go for dessert fondue.

ya i think the bill came to 160 w/o tip but it was four course but ya its a rip off. if i go out i want people cooking for me not me cooking my own food...and whats with the 15 sauces.
I thought cheesecake was a rip off till I went here. 10/2/2008 11:07:25 PM |

I didn't realize people ate there. I took one look at their menu online and declared it a total ripoff. Fondue is the easiest shit to make at home. 10/2/2008 11:07:59 PM |

i go to korean bbq and love every minute of it - even the cooking of my own food - sounds like i won't have idiots at the table next to me as well - bonus
my wife and i have made chocolate fondue twice in our fondue pot - both times it was spectacular - the melting pot isn't horrible but you should know what to expect]] 10/2/2008 11:09:20 PM |

Again, so easy to make at home. Melt some chocolate bars and dip shit into it. IT'S THE MELTING POT AT HOME
^ Yeah, yakiniku is the shit. I love that stuff. I haven't been in ages though because I'm broke

Terrible service and a ripoff. For some reason bitches like the dessert, but you can easily do that at home, or find a local resturant/lounge that does it for a fraction of the price. 10/2/2008 11:15:40 PM |

you will not regret it. It's like 30-40 bucks for a 3 course meal but it's as much as you can eat of some of the finest food around. I remember eating bacon wrapped Filet mignon, grilled alligator, honey roasted sirloin, and lambchops among pieces of other stuff while I was there.10/2/2008 11:16:51 PM |

You should get your man to take you to Rio Churrascaria next time. Dinner is ~$29 each + drinks. Just tell him it's a meat eater's haven.

Melting pot is a disappointing fucking experience, and way overpriced
Brasa is cheaper AND they have UNLIMITED MEAT!! Melting pot is barely some scraps and if you want more you have to buy another full fucking tray, even if you just want to buy a little piece of something. seriously wtf??

I had a great time @ the melting pot. It was like $80 w/ drink, soup, appetizer, entree (tiger shrimp/ribeye/burbon chicken), and dessert for 2. I'd go back, but this was also to the one in G'boro. 10/2/2008 11:31:40 PM |

^ The salty bacon adds taste. That's part of what makes it a good combination.
It's like collards...You gotta add some salted pork and bacon grease.
