I read the story on CNN, sounds like she was several months late and authorities have been notifying her of eviction for quite some time. When the cops tried to forcefully get her out she shot herself twice and survived. Sounds like something we will be seeing in the future espcially with the elderly.
What amazed me is the updated info. I scanned the story for the details but didn't find any, the synopsis is the only information I know.

stuff like this pisses me off and unfortunately ^^ that ISN'T how it works. it doesn't go away when you kill yourself. these are people i work with DAILY and it is seriously sad and depressing. it really is terrible. i hope everyone is happy and thinks it is funny.
this is exactly why i do what i do in the hopes that i can help SOMEONE not feel this fucking desperate.
oh yea and this has BEEN happening. i mean i'm sure it will increase now but it isn't like it hasn't happened before things got this out of control. no one cares though, so whatever.

I'm wondering if they did it for good PR or seriously felt bad.

prob for PR. but i mean seriously, it is fucked up. i'm glad they published the story because then maybe people will actually realize that there are desperate people in the world and whether or not they did it to themselves, everyone makes mistakes and no one should have to feel like killing themselves is their only option.
seriously. it happens more than people realize. with EVERYTHING. medical bills, etc. and no, it doesn't help anything because it isn't going to stop the foreclosure, it isn't going to stop people asking for money. it probably just leaves a wreck for your family or whoever is dealing with your estate. though, presumably, if your family gave a fuck about you, you wouldn't be in this situation to begin with.
i mean luckily they forgave the loan but IRL, in most situations i've seen, killing yourself does not help at all.
why did i even read this now i'm

It's pretty shitty. I also worry about an increase in petty crime due to people's desperation. We have a good home security system but is that going to stop people when they're on the brink of losing their home? I don't think so. There have been seven separate robberies here in the last 2 weeks at gas stations as it is. 10/3/2008 6:18:18 PM |

^^ WELL because this happens to actual clients where i work and it is sad and it shouldn't happen and i need a hug
^ well she bought the house in the 70s. aren't there like 30 year mortgages or something? maybe it was a 2nd mortgage to like get extra money or something who knows.
