Insurance companies often give discounts for having multiple policies, for example two vehicles on one insurance policy or having both your vehicle and home insured with the same company.

that's what I was thinking, but it doesnt make much sense to me to charge less for two cars than for oneI will have to call them and see what's going on. I guess I'll add the old car back onto my policy if I have to even though I don't even own it anymore.

lol

1) buy junk title2) let junkyard keep car3) purchase insurance4) profit?
10/4/2008 9:37:18 AM
it's not like I need to own a car to insure it, right? I can just give them the info from my old car that I just took off the policy.
10/4/2008 9:38:43 AM
the insurance rate you got must have gone up now so $60 up according to today's marketI dont think adding the old car again will get you your old rate now
10/4/2008 9:39:49 AM
but what if the new owner has an accidentesp if it's insured with the same company
10/4/2008 9:40:31 AM
I doubt it's insured by the same company, but anyway it would be their policy that covers it, not mine. But yeah I'm pretty sure I probably wouldn't get that rate back anyway like tsavla said.

and I got a rate quote from Geico and it was like 90 bucks a month more than the shitty rate I have now.For some reason whenever I get a rate online from anywhere it's always way more than what I am paying.Probably because I haven't been licensed for that long.
10/4/2008 9:45:08 AM
always get a agent, they get you the best rates, geico is expensive...progressive is lot cheaper
10/4/2008 9:46:44 AM
^ Geico has always been pretty cheap for me.
10/4/2008 9:50:39 AM
So Progressive gave me an offer that's 20 bucks than what my company is charging me now, I may take that one.
10/4/2008 9:53:51 AM
talk to an agent, you might get even better rate
10/4/2008 9:55:04 AM
Perhaps. But I just realized I miscalculated and it's really $45 cheaper than mine now. It's looking better and better.
