I too am tempted... I've never been to Sanford. I heard it's fun out there, but boy will it eat some tires... Of course, I'd only go to watch... One day...

If I go you can ride with. Only problem is the tires I use for autoxing are in Charlotte, hmmmm. Wonder when I can pick them up before that weekend.

It's a very narrow course, but yeah. It's made on an old airport landing strip.

That's a long day if you're going just to watch. Watching auto-x gets old after about the first session of cars run.

Sanford will eat some tires up too. It's rocky asphalt with lots of loose gravel.

^ Waffle House on Walnut St. in Cary. It's right by US1 so you can eat and hop on the road.

*shrug* I enjoy watching the cars most of the time, especially if you have some crazy people who spin out a lot.

Plus, if we have a lot of people we can hang out during the races. Just remember to bring lots of beverages and lawn chairs to sit in.

Waffle House seems like a good place. Say, 7:30am for breakfast? We would need to leave around 8:15am at the latest to make registration in time. It's a 50 minute drive.

Remember, this is the Waffle House on Walnut Street, NOT the Waffle House on Hillsborough Street.

I will be reaching the Waffle House probably around 7:30 to 7:45. We need to leave no later than 8:15. SoundBoy4 will be driving separately.

Just look for the RX-8 at the Waffle House. I'll try to wear something that stands out.
