Okay, I need to give a person in my company a new title.

The person will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of four reps who have accounts all over the world. Two reps work for one company, two work for another but they are under the same umbrella.

The person's other responsibilities will be establishing partnerships with other companies and some product management, as well as handling their previous key accounts. The only Title I can think of is Business Development Manager. Any thoughts?

Yes, this guy will be paid based on the results of the four salespeople and will be held accountable for the revenue they bring in. He will be focused more on Product Management and Alliances, but we already have a "Product Manager" and I am the Director of Sales.

LOL at myself for putting this in chitchat, whoops!

Account Development Manager or Account Manager

Yeah, the sales reps are the Account Managers...

I like Business Development Manager but essentially it's thrown around too much, hell it sounds like a glorified telemarketer. I kind of like Strategic Relations Manager, just not the way DivaBaby spelled it, haha.

Program Manager--sufficiently ambiguous it could mean anything.

Quote :
"Program Management is the process of managing multiple ongoing inter-dependent projects. An example would be that of designing, manufacturing and providing support infrastructure for an automobile manufacturer. This requires many separate projects. In an organization or enterprise, Program Management also reflects the emphasis on coordinating and prioritizing resources across projects, departments, and entities to ensure that resource contention is managed from a global focus."

I think the title you're looking for is Supervisor. Supervisor of what, I dunno. But this sounds more like a supervisory role than managerial.

Yes. In retail the food chain generally looks something like:

Sales Person
Senior Sales Person
Supervisor
Area Manager
General (Store) Manager
District
Territory
Market
