'99 Nissan Sentra 1.6 125k
When I accelerate from 1st under regular conditions, the car jerks into 2nd. However, if I am accelerating hard, using all 115 of my horses , it shifts super smooth. What could cause it to shift differently under different acceleration? Or is my transmission just getting shitty? Any input would be awesome, thanks. 10/8/2008 9:21:29 PM |

do you accelerate at full throttle a lot? do you perform the recommended maintenance on the car? 10/8/2008 9:52:02 PM |

Ten bucks says your tranny fluid looks like tar and smells like burnt fatback. And the filter is probably in terrible condition.
Line pressure is suffering a bit so it prolly shifts late and hard. Betcha you got some sticking spools in the valve body or an accumulator piston is sticking.
^ &^^...TV cable is a good thing to think about, especially if the damn cable has been dicked with at all.
