so they're having a sale right now including (4) 4oz Filet Mignon for $20.
Anybody ordered meats through the mail before? Sounds fresh... 10/9/2008 10:12:10 AM |

my wife and i order from them a few times a year whenever we get coupons/discounts - always been impressed
my parents order from them a lot for their lake house because their stuff tends to stay better frozen longer than meat from the grocery store due to the way they seal their meat
it's harder to justify their more expensive meat in my opinion - if you want a really good side item their stuffed baked potatoes are to die for 10/9/2008 10:15:51 AM |

They're good but overrated
You can get just as good cuts of meat from any higher-end grocery store like Fresh Market, EarthFare, etc.
The real primo steaks, certified Prime, are the only ones worth shipping in, unless there's a hell of a deal going on 10/9/2008 10:30:10 AM |

^^you have a link for this special?
^All of those stores cost more than your run of the mill grocery store, and even those stores don't have filets for $5/ea 10/9/2008 10:45:19 AM |

^ i've had all of those minus the cake and they're all pretty good - the sole is basically a crab cake though and not much fish imho 10/9/2008 11:03:36 AM |

I seem to remember my boyfriend being disappointed with the quality of the burgers in that they were very thin and kind of fell apart. 10/9/2008 11:10:47 AM |

shit is frozen. and $20 for a lb. tenderloin is not a great deal. burgers are dry. Go to freshmarket or wholefoods.

I just remembered I got some dry ice in a package a week or so ago and tossed it in the freezer to play with later. I bet it's gone now because I forgot about it 10/9/2008 12:25:03 PM |

I have no interest in your Madison Avenue beef
that's like $31 per 4oz steak
I only really want to eat grass fed beef... and ideally something that is from my geographical region 10/9/2008 12:37:24 PM |
