In the washing machine... but i have no proof other than mia headphones and two really powerful earbud sized magnets stuck to the drum of my washing machine...

What should i do?

A. Replace them with the bad ass 530 series that just came out and eat the $texas
B. Try to get him to confess and pay up then do what is listed above

B

also, you might want to consider a swift kick in the ass. I feel that this is in order.

is your roommate one of your good friends? or did you just get a random roommate?

if i threw my friends headphones in the washing machine and it fucked them up, i would pay for them. He wouldn't have to convince me to do so.

If he doesn't confess to it and offer to pay, kick him in the stomach and take his wallet.

^he beat me to the swift kick part.

this reminds me....I need to grab some new headphones. I can't find mine, and have been looking for them all week.

I bet I left them in my pocket after going to the gym, and they got washed with my sweatpants

What the hell was he doing to combine your headphones with the washing machine?

he might not even know yet. if the earphones are all tangled up or stuck in a pocket, he may have not seen them.

I was thinking more along the lines of the headphones ending up tangled together and stuck in some garment, or made their way into a pocket or something during the wash.

could be either way though

There's only one thing you can do in a situation like this: Horse head in the bed next to him.

Tell him you know he did it and you understand it was an accident, have a recording device running secretly (like your cell phone), and with your fingers crossed say you'll split the cost of replacement with him.

Then when he 'fesses up, tell him you lied, your fingers were crossed, and he owes you a new pair of headphones for setting his dirty clothes on the counter in the first place, not checking what he was dumping in the dryer, and then lying about it, and then destroying the headphones you could have potentially gotten repaired.

A question mark can denote inflections, as well as indicate a question.

i made a boombox out of a stomper motor, a fucked up fan power cord and a shoebox once. i shit you not none of these 8.4.2.34 audio thingies sound any better. people with headphones with namebrands they remember are probably faggots because of this.

it was prob a legit mistake

see if you can get renters to replace them-- does he have a separate policy? try getting him to claim it on his

and in the future, keep expensive shit out of common areas. sounds like a freak accident but if you're going to be upset if something goes missing or broken, put it in a safe place every time you're done using it. but i think you already learned that lesson
