i'm generally not a fan of any word that is shortened in this manner

it's along the same lines as people calling me "Case"...is it really that hard to add the 'y' on the end after you've already said the first 4 letters

i like nicknames sometimes. my name gets shortened a lot. as long as people don't call me kathy i'm ok with it i guess.

my parents have always called me "KC." most of my friends say kat or katherine. or they call my by my shortened last name---cad or caddy. boyfriend says katherine or kiki.

i pretty much answer to anything at this point. my name is so long and annoying it is no wonder people shorten it. i needed extended time to bubble in my name on standardized tests. i always got so stressed out because i was always the LAST one to finish bubbling.
