I found myself surrounded by them for a little while b/c of this girl I was "dating." They are horrible people. There are only a few places I need to avoid in order to avoid hipsters all together, so it isn't that big of a deal, but Jesus, their music, clothes... pretty much everything about them - horrible. Only thing worse would be the scenesters.

Anyone else have a hipster problem they want to get off their chest?

Are there any places down in NC that has an infestation of hipsters?

hipsters wear and do things in order to be ironic and love pbr. this is how they stand out. scenesters are wrapped up in their bands and music typically runs their life. these guys are often times straight edge. this is how they stand out.

My understanding of a hipster. People who listen to NPR, drive hatchbacks/hybrids, graphic designers/visual artist/photographers, like to hang out at an art show drinking wine, wine is always involved in any gathering, like to discuss major topics at hand/intelligent conversations, would rather hang out and have conversations about the world, vintage/homemade clothing, non-conformist that are conformist together , love independent musical artist, love urban settings, usually have backwoods parents.

I appreciate them. I am kind of one of them. They can be a little outside of the box...A LOT!

There are some that do like to talk a great game about helping the world and never do anything about it. There are also some that are not social to other people besides themselves. Snobby makes me sick. I do not associate with those type...anymore.
