what a joke. not sure why pro bowl voting is open already but it is, you can vote as many times as you want. i suggest we all go ahead and vote for philip rivers..
there's no way of telling how his season will go from here, but hell, i saw we skew the poll! 10/17/2008 4:18:58 PM |

peyton, favre and cutler as the AFC QB reps?
I guess the main criteria was how many interceptions you have thrown?
How about rivers, roflsberger??.. Hell, I'd rather have thigpen or flacco on my team than the interception machine combo of favre and cutler
^^^^^Although seeing Deangelo on the team would have been nice, I can't really argue with any of the NFC RB picks.

First LOL at quoting a free online dictionary in a failed attempt to display your supposedly superior vernacular
Second LOL at fishing thru multiple entries of said definition to find the one that best supports your otherwise futile argument
Third and final LOL at implying that NC State's education is first rate
Actually, tack a Fourth and Fifth LOL on for that final point

It was Merriam fucking Webster

I quoted a dictionary because you don't know the definition of elite, I thought that might help
It was only the second entry, but the first ("the choice part") works pretty well, too

What are the five NC schools that you'd put ahead of State academically? I can only think of four.
Either way, please don't try to put ECU on State's level. ECU is a glorified community college.

Rivers didn't make it cause most fans see him as a shit-talker (due to the Colts fan episode & his 'feud' w/ Cutler). He's simply not well-liked by the public plus most NFL fans equate QB success w/ wins, as they do with pitchers in MLB (despite both being flawed measurements of success) 12/16/2008 5:07:40 PM |

and for the smitty hater...
smith was the last receiver to get the triple crown of receiving, in 2005. most receptions, yards, and touchdowns. it's only been accomplished 3 times ever, by jerry rice, smith, and sterling sharpe
he did it on a team that ran more than it passed. a team that still runs more than it passes.

Also, it's nitpicking, but he was tied for most receptions and TD in 05 with Fitzgerald and Harrison, respectively
He's third in yardage this season, 15th in receptions and tied for 13th in TDs
