We've got DVR and HD and Digital Cable and all that jazz.
Right now, every channel I turn to plays for about 20secs then it cuts to blue screen with the message "To recieve this channel, call Customer Care at 866-4-TWC-NOW". It did this on ESPN, HBO, and even the local channels WRAL and ABC.

did you unplug the machine
let it set for about a minute or so

yea....so i called and guess what? they answered within a minute
there was a problem in this area with cable about an hour ago (when we weren't home)...go figure. she told me to unplug the system and plug it back in...i did that...and it's on it's way to working again.

what area? i've tried a few channels and on espn2hd the video locks up and the audio keeps going. that's the only channel of the ones i've tried that does it. espnhd works fine.
