PC for me.
Gotta get my mod on.
Beth has said that the modding tools won't be released with the game though but they are planning on releasing them sometime.
And the community has basically said "if you don't release them we will make them ourselves" 10/19/2008 2:19:24 AM |

So, question... I finally have a computer where I could run this kind of game (not look awesome, just run it with OK graphics). I never really did before. Do you think it's worth buying on the PC for the advantage of the Mods that are inevitably going to come out? Or should I go with the console version because it's what I prefer, controlling style-wise and or the better graphics I will inevitably get. I figure I'm going to get the PC people rooting for PC and the people who like consoles telling me to get the console version, but when you think about it, what are the advantages to the consoles? I would probably get better graphics and more fluid gameplay. Plus, I prefer the controlling style of the console. I just thought maybe you guys on here could tell me what I should expect as far as Mods go, so I'll know whether that outweighs everything else. 10/19/2008 10:30:07 AM |

console. i used to love gaming on pc until i started having to upgrade every 6 months. now i just play my modded xbox and use the pc for media purposes. besides, your friends can play with you on the xbox, vs. your friends having to also own a pc that can run this kind of game, etc. and lastly, on a console, it just works. no glitching, no crashing, and the gfx are gonna be better without slowdowns. 10/19/2008 10:35:35 AM |

You can play with an xbox controller on the PC.
Fallout is single player anyway.
And I will say that mods made Oblivion a billion times better.

That's a terrible viewpoint, you are missing out on some of the best gaming. You think your consoles are going to be jealous?

most range from new weapons and armor, to new houses and castles, to more beautiful and streamlines menus, etc.
There were also some more major ones, like Deadly Reflex, which made the combat much more intuitive and fun, and added the ability to cut people's heads off, or even cut them in half sometimes.
There were mods like Midas Magic Pack that added hundreds of new spells, not just modified stuff like you could do in the game, all new effects. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LL2sr7RXdEc trailer.
Then there were the super overhauls like Francescos leveled creatures and Oscuros Oblivion Overhaul which changed everything about the game, from the stupid creatures leveling up with you system to how fast you gained experience.10/19/2008 11:26:46 AM |

he still has to get around the fact his pc is not good enough to see it how it was intended in the first place...you want a FPS that has a shit ton of mods? buy counterstrike for $9.99 from steam and go nuts. if some of the mods for fallout 3 are good enough, they may release them as downloadable content later, who knows?]] 10/19/2008 11:32:51 AM |
