i had to let dogs out at 3:30 am but was far too tired/lazy to actually put clothes on, so i went out there in flip flops and gym shorts. it was chilly but this is all part of my master plan to be cold when i come back in the house so i can sleep like a baby. 10/19/2008 9:37:25 PM |

Very true indeed. I had to run out to the car yesterday to get something and went out barefoot, then bolted back inside cold as shit, dived in the covers and snuggled with the bf. It was amazing. 10/19/2008 9:49:06 PM |

seriously? in illinois i kept the heat at 65 and used a heating blanket on the highest setting on my bed and a smaller one on the couch
i lived in an old ass house and the energy company had doubled the rates the year i moved there. and my power bill was like $40 a month 10/19/2008 9:54:36 PM |

im telling you when i moved here in feb i was FREEZING at night and was shocked i had to use the heating blanket.
in fact, i left it packed up and literally went through boxes in the middle of the night to dig it out
my master bedroom is over the garage so its a little hotter in the summer and a little cooler in the winter, that prob has something to do with it 10/19/2008 9:56:43 PM |

i keep mine at 65 too but my gas bill still got up to $80 in the coldest months last winter. not that that's very expensive compared to other people (probably) but i was still hoping to keep it down. i bet my power bill this month will be $rhodeisland though because i haven't had any climate control on except for maybe 2 days in 5 weeks. 10/19/2008 9:58:12 PM |

i do use a down comforter, goosedown pillowtop mattress & cuddle buddy year round
not to mention the cat that sleeps on my feet and legs
but the heating blanket is so clutch!
maybe i will end up not needing it this year 10/19/2008 10:02:19 PM |

i think the best sleeping i ever did was in owen hall. you can't adjust the heat in there, so when it gets below a certain temp outside the heat comes on and doesn't go off until spring. we left our window open all winter long and my bed was right underneath it. it was awesome. in the summer i usually get too hot under my covers, yet i can't sleep unless i'm under something more than a sheet. it's weird. 10/19/2008 10:09:16 PM |

i spent entirely too much on mine so i'm not even gonna post numbers. i really should have gotten one cheaper bc this one is almost too warm sometimes. but the duvet is nice as shit so it feels like 1000 thread count sheets so whatever..hopefully i dont have to get a new one.10/19/2008 10:11:32 PM |
