Received a spammy message on my Blackberry Messenger tonight (weird, I know) but then I came home and replied to an email from the same person and received an almost immediate response with the same spam-like message.

Then EVERY MESSAGE from my inbox was GONE and permanently deleted items are gone. I've looked all over the internet for a way to restore them (short of corrupting the PST which I'm not so sure is going to be a great idea)...

...anyone heard of this? Anyone had any experience with corrupting the .pst to restore your deleted items?

This would be an excellent day to have an exchange server... (or Thunderbird).

Help, I had 50 emails to respond to in some form and now I have nothing (may be a blessing in disguise).

PS - The email had no attachment or images, just text.

Thunderbird aside, leaving you to manage an Exchange server would be like giving a grenade to a chimp.

I didn't say I wanted to manage one, it'd just be nice to be able to try and retrieve the messages which were permanently deleted.
