Be wary if TWC calls you up trying to lock you into a long term contract. They have sent out employees to map where AT&T's U-Verse boxes are being installed in hopes of locking up those customers before they have to make a choice over another service.

I have also spotted serious activity from ATT in the Crossroads area of Cary. They have had the roads torn up and burying cable down Piney Plains for the past month or so.

From what I read online at various sites, and from personal communication with an ATT representative UVERSE will be coming to Cary by the first of the year.

Anything but TWC is what I want. I have been using rabbit ears to pick up my Sunday football in HD on Fox... and to be honest I havent lost much selection, since all I watched was primarily on the FTA channels that you can pick up over the air FOR FREE! What I lost was not worth the $90/month I was paying. $144 with RoadRunner.

Now I am using someones free wifi in the apartment complex and $0 is looking mighty nice!

Wow, TWC has two HD channels I dont have with Dish (Speed and ESPNU)...not that I regret switching or anything...pretty sure Dish will add those soon enough...

Discovery HD is the Discovery Channel but in HD, HDT was just random shows on Discovery Channel that happened to be in HD.

espnnews hd, really isnt a large gain since they show 2% live sports, but there live news is in HD if that blows your skirt up
