i've been thinking about getting some for the boat in the summer. don't wear flip flops because i end up with hooks in my toes. need something that doesn't mark up the boat too. sperrys are hot, make your feet stink, and hold all the fish smells and stuff. the crocs are easy to clean, non marking, and don't hold smells.

I sometimes have to wonder if people in Japan are incredibly brain dead when it comes to common sense stuff. The fact that they have to put yellow lines on the escalator so you know where the stair ends is bad enough. But then they had some people who were too retarded to step off the escalator while wearing crocs and their crocs got sucked into the escalator. So they have to throw these signs up everywhere.
[/rant]
Sadly, these are popular here now. I think they call them Cruggs

Only other exception I'd allow would be if you worked in the Lawn and Garden section at like, Lowe's. When I worked at Lowe's (delivery, not L&G) the workers there would wear these. I seriously thought they were like, company shoes or otherwise gardening shoes designed so that water wouldn't be any issue.10/26/2008 2:25:30 AM |

Fuck if I know
I got back from a party and I can still feel buzzed...so I tend to drink water and wait around till going to sleep till the buzz goes down. Maybe it helps in the morning?
Why are YOU up

I wore some to my mother-in-laws church one time...One of her friends was all like.."What are those?....You should not be wearing shoes like that to church."....I was like they are just fucking shoes....would you tell Jesus to take his sandles off if he showed up here??????....She later told my mom-in-law that I had a demon in me or some shit....
btw....it was a sunday service with some kind of "jesus party" right after. I was there because I was roped into helping with grilling out for all those folks. I knew I would be outside all afternoon so I thought it would be cool. Crocs..no socks...jeans and a polo.....Fuck those jesus freaks! 10/26/2008 2:43:15 AM |

i mean, i guess those ugly monstrosities up there would count, but as a general rule slip-on clogs don't cut it in kitchens. my ass is on the line if anyone gets hurt on my watch, so i don't let 'em wear crocs. 10/26/2008 2:58:52 AM |

Blah! I shouldn't be! I am supposed to be leaving for Charlotte with my roommate in like 6.5 hrs and I haven't washed my hair (it's a process) nor packed up for the two days I'll be there. *sigh* And I'm exhausted, but I've been looking at rims for my car so that's keeping me occupied.

My mom gave me some NCSU crocs she found on clearance. I have to admit that after standing for 6 hours in a row with Crocs my back feels a lot better than when I was wearing other shoes. 10/26/2008 3:18:47 AM |

If you're doing a lot of standing they are. I don't like them as much for doing extensive walking. So I just tend to use them as work shoes. 10/26/2008 3:21:29 AM |

Crocs are great if you are 12 or on the beach. 10/26/2008 3:22:39 AM |
Snewf All American 63368 Posts user info edit post |
yeah they're not good for long walking
if you're barefoot in them the foot sweat gets slippery and any dust is turned into gross foot paste and it won't take long to walk a hole in them or at least wear off all of the grip so that you fall on your ass when a surface is wet
but they're awesome if you're not going anywhere 10/26/2008 3:22:58 AM |
