Do they have a regional recruiter like Verizon does or is hiring initiated at the store level?

Nov-Feb is usually crap even in a good year, this is far from a good year. Most Novembers I have a bunch of stuff close (sales from October) and it carries me in to March or so but this year due to a few factors there was not really anything.

Also wireless sales even part time (20 hours) can make 35-45k/yr. Free cell phone line (huge expense doing what I do $140 a month). I could also save a ton on health insurance through them.

BCBS is not exactly cheap and I am gonna have to start paying out of pocket.

interesting, i could see that being kinda fun too, if you don't mind being in a damn tie, talking to stupid people all day.

i paid for BCBSNC BlueAdvantage for a couple of years, it leaves you with a feeling of being raped in the wallet every month

What I have been telling people (and its true) is although you may not be able to command the price you want when you sell odds are you will make up the difference on the next purchase.

I have a client that is in the process of renting her 2br townhome out and her fiancee is going to buy them a 4br home. (they were lucky enough to get financing approval) I found one that has already been reduced 30k, looked up the loan balance and it was originally 160k 3 years ago. They have the home priced at 190 now and are in the middle of a divorce with one already moved out.

I dunno if that is going to go through but someone in my office told me they could probably pick it up for way less than what is being asked.

In my opinion anyone who is a potential buyer and has nothing to sell is crazy not to be looking right now. There are deals out there and our home prices never boomed so they do not have far to fall.

We look at "affordability" percentages that rate home prices against a median income for an area. All the areas that have prices falling through the floor had horrible affordability ratios prior to the bust and that is why prices fell so hard.

The triangle is still in one of the best positions in the country when you look at affordability and job growth.

Yeah I have not worked retail since 2003, but I remember having a lot more fun at work.

I usually wear a tie now. The downside is probably going to be the stupid people. I can only imagine the stupidity that you run across in one of those stores.

The people screaming because they got their teenager some 200 minute granny plan and the first bill was a cold $700. The people that are mad because they failed to get the $7.00 insurance coverage and promptly dropped their phone in a toilet. The ones who have been conditioned to think that screaming will get them any accommodation they want if they are persistent enough.

There should not be any dull moments.

Oh yeah and part of the bailout bill is $7500 refundable tax credit for any first time buyers.

Agreed!

Yeah, I'm trying to get a job with Verizon (so I can get a HUGE discount on my rate plan since my bill is always high), or at least with some other company. Granted the extra line is ONLY for work, but shit, that's wassup.

I have a phone interview with Verizon this week. So far they seem like the most impressive company to work for.

Sprint seems really disorganized.

T-mo seems like a really good one to work for and a great company but they are only hiring seasonal help right now. (apparently because they just entered our market a month ago and are still figuring out what their labor needs will be)

Alltel is a good one but they wanted people for Fuquay Varina. I am not driving to FV every day when I live in a short commute to Crossroads, North Hills & Crabtree. They were trying to tell me its not that far but I kept having flashbacks to those $80 something tanks of gas that I had to put my card through multiple times to get.

ATT is the only one I do not really know anything about at this point, after seeing their North Hills store tonight I am thinking their sales people are making bank.

^^ as many of them as there are in that store, you'd think they'd be more helpful. i went over there to get a faulty sim card replaced a couple of months ago, and most of them were busy gossiping about something.
