I need some alligator meat by next Wednesday.Google hasn't been much help because it's shown mw a bunch of restaurants that serve it. I could have it shipped, but the minimum is 5 lbs and I don't need that much. I know where to get it at home in Topsail, but never looked into it around here...thanks!

1. Call someone in Topsail, have them purchase.
2. Pack with dry ice, Fedex/UPS/USPS overnight
3. Profit

I guess this is a little bit of a hijack, but still on the topic of less-than-normal meat, but does anyone know where you can buy bison in Raleigh? Don't say Ted's Montana Grill....I'd like some for home use

ht in cameron village has bison and rabbit; the only way i know to get alligator around here is to order it--although you could go to one of the restaurants and ask the manager to sell you a couple of lbs

places like freshmarket will a lot of times order that type of stuff for you, if you haven't let it get too close.

good to know, great, thanks! It's for my french class, so I didn't want to spend the extra money shipping a perishable item from home. I'll call HT and look into whole foods.

gator meat is good. Last time I had it was with a tasting dinner that included gator, ostrich, and wild boar. I wantedto say the gator was on kabobs.

No, I found plenty of ways to get it, just not in Raleigh. It's a time and cash sensitivei issue.

Capital Seafood @ 676 maywood ave (right off of centennial.) $8.99/1LB frozen package of gator.

For the buffalo, there's a little place inside the farmer's market shoppes, about 1/3 of the way up on the on the side closest to the far entrance/ice cream stand. the name escapes me, but i've had their goat before, pretty decent quality and selection.
