I really liked that piece.
The piece by Orson Scott Card recently on the same subject was fantastic also.

your post inspires two thoughts:
1. I thought that link was to "lsdmag" and did a double-take
2. I saw Orson Scott Card speak in Talley a few years ago

This was my first introduction to him, and I was thoroughly impressed. Especially with it coming from a professed democrat.
Vix says I need to read Ender's Game as well. 10/28/2008 10:11:55 PM |

When I heard he was speaking in Talley I was in disbelief, like "Really, the Orson Scott Card? Here?" I later learned he's a NC native, lives in Greensboro I think so it wasn't that much of a stretch, but it was still awesome to see him speak 10/28/2008 10:19:59 PM |

So now Obama says take the day off next Tuesday? A country in an economical crisis and we should all take off and do nothing but go vote..... 10/29/2008 1:17:44 AM |

I was disappointed in the Orson Scott Card op-ed, because he doesn't seem like he understands this economic crisis. I don't blame him, because it's a difficult situation to understand, but he shouldn't get so upset about something he doesn't get.
And it's funny how the original post has an article talking about bias, that is itself heavily biased. It's like a joke or something. 10/29/2008 1:31:41 AM |

I thought by law your employer had to give you time to go and vote (something like an hour). Is this correct? 10/29/2008 2:13:19 AM |

Sorry but ask for the day off and work for me-Obama, doesn't sound too smart in this time and age we are in. It's like a prediction of the next 4 years in my opinion. 10/29/2008 7:34:38 PM |
