the pathological lying thing becomes tiresome after a while

she'd brag about shit I was working on to IT people at work as if it were her own and ask me to give her details about it when she was called out

she'd lie to me about shit that was pointless and obvious, and she'd get all angry and defensive when I didn't acknowledge her version of reality

I couldn't be involved in parts of her life because she'd lied to those people and my presence would somehow give up the lie, or she'd be afraid I'd discover something she'd lied about (that was already pretty obvious)

it wouldn't have bothered me if she could have just brought herself to be honest with me, but then she'd feel powerless I guess, and that's not a healthy way to live
