Yes, we know, yadda yadda yadda. I think it could have been worded better, but then the cartoon wouldn't be a cartoon anymore, it'd be some long soliloquy about the less fortunate.
But, while we're on the topic, I've always pondered this question: Whose to say the other kids won't share if you just ask nicely?
The US gives $295 billion a year worth of "candy" to the "poor kids". That's without any bully forcing them to give. All of it is privately organized.
Imagine if our government focused less on raising taxes and focused more on teaching the public to care about their neighbors when it came to social welfare and care. I think it'd benefit our society, not only financially, but morally by instilling sympathy and compassion. Instead of creating a mentality of fear and greed. What I mean is, "kids" feel like they have to hide their piggy banks so that when the big bad bully comes they don't get beat up for it. I think that's how a lot of people think.
Or maybe not. Maybe humans are too greedy and without the big bully taking our candy and giving it away we'd be lost as a society.
