ive been growing an elephant ear plant all summer and its so rad

what do i need to do with it now that its getting cold? i already bring it in when its supposed to be really cold or really windy.. but soon its gonna be that way all the time.

should i just leave it on my patio where it is? i don't want it to die, but i'm not sure that it will. i'm worried cause i think elephant ears are from africa or something so it might not like cold at all

Feed it peanuts and keep the mice away.

just strip the leaves off the tuber and store it in a cool place in the container and barely water the soil through the winter

you can keep it outside if you want to keep it dormant

elephant ears are actually pretty hardy, they just look like shit after frosts, as long as the tuber is maintained youll get new growth

id avoide bringing it inside because you wont have the humidity the plant needs unless you want to constantly mist the leaves
