If anyone has a wheelchair laying around that's for small sized people I'd like to buy it please. I'm 5 feet tall & petite so I don't want a huge wheelchair. I am disabled (knee deterioration from lifelong rheumatoid arthritis) so if the seller could deliver it to me that would be much appreciated and I would pay for gas if needed. Photos of the wheelchairs would be much appreciated so I can make sure its the type I can use. I need to be able to push myself around in it. So it has to have the typical large back wheels. I do not use a chair all the time but lately its gotten to the point when I have to go shopping and stuff, my cane that I use just isn't helping enough. Also, if I could get one before Tuesday (11/04) that would be great. I know the lines to vote are going to be long so I'd like to get one by then because if the lines are as long as predicted I won't be able to stand in them. I don't want to vote early because I want to feel the buzz of the election day. If anyoe out there can help me I would be really really very thankful. This is my first time buying one so I have no idea how much they cost - so just let me know your price and I'll see if I can swing it. I live on disability so the cheaper the better. You can PM me here on TWW but it's quicker to just email me as I have my email up 24/7. I live on my computer as I'm a writer and go to NCSU part time online. Email: surgeylords@gmail.com You can also IM me on google chat or yahoo: gmsurgey. Thank you in advance for your help. 11/1/2008 9:10:11 PM |

Check on Craigslist, use the search. I'm pretty sure there are quite a few on there.
Also, you shouldn't have to wait in line to vote. They offer curbside voting for the disabled and elderly.

If you are unable to enter the voting place because of age or physical disability, you will be allowed to vote either in your vehicle or immediately outside the voting place. Have someone enter the voting place and inform the precinct election officials of your desire to vote in this manner." |

You could ask one of the people campaigning outside to get an election official for you, I'm sure they'd be happy for the change in monotony.11/1/2008 10:02:16 PM |
