2 guys in the elevator were talking about going to vote

I asked them who for; one says Obama, the other McCain

I tell them "You realize you're basically just canceling out each other's votes...If both or you vote or neither of you vote, it will have the same overall effect"

It was a long flight, 51 floors, so we had a minute to talk

They agreed with me and decided just the skip the whole thing afterall

So that makes me probably the worst type of person in most of your eyes...not only not voting myself, but convincing others to join me

my guess is 35% of active posters didn't vote
of them 50% used the canceling or my vote doesn't count anyways logic

the only reason they agreed with me is that they were hoping the other would stick to his word and not vote so they're vote wouldnt get canceled out

if they weren't going to vote for state/us congress then it doesn't matter
if they were going to vote straight democrat/republican then it doesn't matter
