I'm probably gonna take advantage of the weather and go for a nice ride this afternoon. Anyone got any recommendations? 20-30 miles round trip is ideal. Unfortunately, I haven't been in Raleigh long enough to know the area. If anyone else is interested, feel free to PM me.

If we go, you guys need to respect the raw 20hp my Nighthawk produces. (read: Don't pick on the poor girl).

From a PM I recieved, looks like it may take place around 6:00 or a little after.

MUCH better...i rode her over to tripleD4u's place where just about everything was taken apart and cleaned (and the plugs were replaced)...although, it was riding much better on the way over there, after i had added 1/3 can of seafoam to the tank

taking the carb apart, it looks like 1.) the bike might be older than the speedometer indicates, and 2.) the seafoam did the trick...overall, though, it's still in great shape

ryan did a complete tune-up, and it's MUCH quieter...i need to get a new chain adjuster for the left side because the bolt is stripped and the chain is loose, and the rubber hose connecting the air intake and the carb is short for some reason (which we think might be the cause of the 10-minute start-up time)...we industrial-strength duct-taped the gap, to see if it improves, but i haven't started it cold since

really, though, i'm stoked...i couldn't ride to work/school today, but tomorrow i am

Presumably, someone should come up with a place to ride to...

Yeah, I'm relatively new. I've been riding for about 8 months, but spent most of my youth on two wheels. Dirt bikes are totally different, but having that experience has made me a much more comfortable, safer rider.

On a different note, if someone brings me some chain lube they will be my hero.

I'm tired sons. I don't want to risk riding when I'm tired son so I'm going to bail on y'all.

http://www.newenough.com/closeouts/textile_jackets_and_pants/teknic/freestyle_textile_motorcycle_jacket.html

for winter gloves i use these suckers

http://www.cyclegear.com/spgm.cfm?L1=3&L2=15&L3=&L4=&item=FTL_MBG19-S_G&tier2=65

they are big, clunky and you have no throttle feel, but even in 20 degree weather you never feel the cold.
