Target is a terrible place to work. Terrible. None of the other employees give a shit, so if you actually want to go home at a decent hour, you'll end up getting stuck with the brunt of the work. Most of my coworkers were too fat to fit down the aisles at all. Discount is negligible, and with the low pay, definitely not worth it.

Not to mention the fact that they locked the doors in the evening and the manager was the only one with a key to get out. No one was allowed out until the entire store was finished. Keep in mind I was a 17 year old in high school at this time, and frequently wouldn't be finished until midnight or later. The manager didn't seem to understand that you can't keep minors in a store that late on a school night. They also didn't understand that you can't lock employees in a store.

Furthermore, they gave me crap about needing time off for anything, whether or not it was prom or graduation. "Who needs to walk across the stage?"

^If you're looking for a good PT job with benefits, look into UPS.
