randy wasnt dumb in any aspect of the fight


his only mistake was attempting to slip punches with his head exposed and not within the shield of his guard, u dont bob and weave

it would have been fine had that punch landed on the jaw line or what have you, but since randy used head movement it landed on the back of his head and thatll fuck u up easily with a proper gaurd that area would have been protected


he was doin everything just fine, brock was just a lot more competent than people would like to give him credit for out there

his knees are fuckin sick, he gets good power out of them and places them well

I agree. I think both sides fought a good battle. I can understand a bob and weave method for slower fighters but i think the speed of lesnar was a bit underestimated. he actually surprised me being able to move like that while still being able to throw his weight to take control when needed. I'm definitely not an expert... Its really nothing like the sparring i did in karate. either way my pick lost. and he wasn't robbed out of a win.

It's going to be gratifying to see Big Nog triangle him. You know there's almost no way for Mir to win against Nog, and then it's inevitable that Brock will get top position, start throwing hammer fists, leave an opening and get triangled.

I'll give him this though, he's looked very impressive. Heavy handed as shit, good knees in the clinch, but his ground game appears to be very basic so far, and by that I mean that thus far he's only shown wrestling, not really all around grappling. I've not seen him really utilize his excellent positioning to great advantage. He lacks submission skills at this point, and even though his positioning and top control are awesome he hasn't used them to finish. Let's be honest, somebody like Randy, or Gabe Gonzaga, or Brandon Vera would have finished Heath Herring if they ever got Heath in the postions Brock had him in.

Brock's good now, but he's not yet elite. I think you'll see him fall to Nogueira and then work his way back up to another title shot, but at this point guys like Mir, Gonzaga, and Nogueira are going to be very tough matchups for him.

I think the ufc actually tests for roids so that build is pretty damn impressive, although maybe it's easy to get around them I dunno

the athletic commission that sancitions MMA in the US does year round testing now

in addition to x number of random tests after the fights, they also run random tests during training period

alot of fighters have been busted for roids and recreational drugs in the past 3 years, im all for it

in the show they had in the UK about a month ago the UFC had to run their own drug tests (no sanctioning body), and actually busted chris leben for performance enhancers after his loss to bisping
