So an indie rock tribute to The Cure album is coming out in January, and The Rosebuds have contributed a cover of "The Walk" to the album.

I saw the Rosebuds for the first time last weekend in Durham at the Troika Music Festival. I don't know if it was the sound guy screwing up the mix but they sounded horrible. Every song sounded exactly the same. They just didn't have anything musically that made me think "i want to see this band live again or I want to buy their cd." Myself and the group I was with had to leave after about the 5th song. The funny thing is somebody in the group mentioned that they were trying way too hard to sound like The Cure (I said trying to sound like a mix of the cure and david bowie) and now they are on a The Cure tribute album.

The Rosebuds were on NPR a couple weeks back(only state wide, of course). They sounded like shit.

I like Boxcar, though. It's amazing what a studio engineer can do.

I enjoy Birds Make Good Neighbors. They also put on a kick-ass show at the Cradle the one time I saw them.
