I have a presentation tomorrow at 7 in Clayton. I know how to get there. My only question is:

is there any early morning rush hour traffic heading that way or construction? I'd guess no, but I need to be sure.

Heading INTO Clayton isn't bad. There is some traffic, but it usually doesn't jam up. Your leg on 40 though could get slow, if you'll be on 40 out of Raleigh.

i used to make that drive almost daily, unless things have changed you won't hit any major traffic at that hour

You can expect some traffic, but nothing insane like you would hit on 40 into RTP. Because of where I lived, I use to come down Tryon and take 70 to Clayton. The traffic that I would hit isn't even worth talking about.

you'll be driving the opposite way of the heavier traffic.
