general advice:

ultimately, business is done between people, not companies. companies are at worst shadows and dust, and at best a conduit for timing and risk.

if you value your personal relationship and/or friendship with the current company people, go in and help them out as best you can.

you never know how it can come back to help you - and i assure you it'll be worth more to you than a morning of sleeping in.
