as a college student i decided the outcome of my actions to this type of situation before i moved into an apartment... if i felt up to it i would go join... if it was friday or saturday night, i'd let it go and find something else to do... if its during a week day i'd judge the size of the party and depending on what kind of party i'd either stop by or just call the noise complaint number

the B,B,A strategy is probably the best. I never really had problems in undergrad, but my neighors were terrible in grad school.

if they quiet down a bit i usually gave them the benefit of the doubt. one time i couldnt even get someone to come to the door it was so loud, so cops it was.
