I have two hamsters but unfortunately I'm unable to keep them because of the cat that we have. It's starting to tear up the carpet at my door to get into my room.
I got the hamsters on the 9th.
When I got them I spent a little over $100 on all the stuff so I'm asking for $60, obo.
2 Winter White Hamsters 1 Cage 1 Ball 3/4 Bag of bedding Almost full bag of food
I can post pictures of all the stuff if you want me to 11/17/2008 8:15:58 PM |

Well I have a crazy cat...I'm sure if you have a pretty chill cat then there shouldn't be a problem. 11/17/2008 8:21:22 PM |

Have you tried occupying your cat in other ways? When ours got batty we started hiding his food in rolly balls and places around the house so he had to "hunt" for it. Calmed him quite a bit. Also, has your cat seen the hamsters and actually tried to kill them? Maybe he just needs to investigate and have you redirect him away from the hamsters afterwards? 11/18/2008 4:00:44 PM |

My cats and dogs stay out of the room from my furries. My ferrets, chins, sugar gliders, hedgehogs and hamsters are all in my bedroom, which the cats and dogs are locked out of. I used to let my cats in, until I found one of my hamster cages on the floor after coming out of the shower. 11/18/2008 4:06:42 PM |

it's not my cat so I'm not in charge of it. However it has not over the cage too much. 11/18/2008 8:46:27 PM |

The last post I made was a little hard to understand. This is what I meant to say...
The cat isn't mine, so I can't really do too much to control it, aside from doing my best to make it stop scratching at the door when I'm there. However, most of it happens when I'm not there. Once while I was away the cat somehow got into my room and knocked over the cage allowing both of the hamsters to get out. Luckly my roommate was there to pick up the mess and get them both in. 11/19/2008 2:15:18 PM |

What kind of hamsters are they? The normal larger ones, or the smaller dwarf ones or what? 11/20/2008 9:18:41 AM |

Oh, well in that case the cat just needs a good beating when it goes into your room! Problem solved!
^Winter whites are white dwarf hamsters. And I'd be amazed if they can actually climb all the things in that cage you have...or am I wrong? 11/20/2008 11:44:53 AM |

They are about that size, and one of them look exactly like this
As far as climbing...they climb everything in that cage, and they run in the wheel like crazy. If I could keep them I would have gotten more of the tunnel stuff and made a crazy hamster world in my room because they like to climb so much.

Oh, I didn't see that they were winter whites. Do they bite or do they let you hold them? I had a bitey hamster and that was no good. 11/20/2008 2:16:55 PM |
