I heard them say 27 on sports center.

Turns out that was just second half points.

Damn.

They showed a graphic during the game that said he was 12-43 from the field

Which would make it less impressive, since a lot of guys could score 44 if they took 43 shots

but he really only took 29 shots

So while 12-29 isn't a great percentage

Its pretty good when half of them come over 6 foot 10 guys

at taking 44 shots and shooting 30%.

Who can't score 40 if they take >40 shots a game.

Anyone have a link to something showing he shot over 40 times last night?

It really didn't seem like it, I mean, he sat out 6 minutes and they were guarding him tight as shit.

on sportscenter this morning, they said his shooting pct last night was 40.9% IIRC. Don't know how many shots he took

http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=32284

says he went 12 for 29.

It was just a graphic during the game that said he shot 43 times

They probably messed up and combined his 2s and 3s as seperates FGAs or something like that

First...

Watch the game or look up a box score before you criticize someone. You should probably feel pretty dumb right now.

Second...

It takes all of two seconds to look at a box score and see that he shot the ball 29 times from the field and shot 14 free throws...hmmm....43 combined shots. I don't know why ESPN or anyone for that matter would add those two things together (and who heard this anyways?? I was watching ESPN all night and never heard anything about 43 shots)....but there ya go...rocket science.

They showed a stat in the last 2 mins of the game showing 12-43, but like was already stated they screwed up something on the stat. Understandable where people might be confused.

Get off my nuts jbrick83, I actually watched the game rather than just checking the box scores....excuse me for actually believing the stats shown during the game.

he's better than his dad was

i'd say he has a shot at the nba but will probably not be successful, as the game has changed so much since DC for 3 days

but i hope he is successful

I see him as a jason terry type in the nba

starting on a bad team or 6th man on a good team

scoring about 15 points per game but capable of carrying his team for short stretches

You think? He's undersized for a 2 and will NOT play 1 at the next level. He strikes me as a JJ Redick type (which was a terrible waste of a draft pick) but with a better ability to create his own shot.

I think he'll be a bottom of the first round pick...

i almost mentioned Redick in my post

but Curry can actually drive the lane and make some crazy layups...i remember that one that had Lebron going during the Regionals last year

isn't he playing the 1 now for davidson and getting tons of assists to go with all of his points? Who's to say he can't do that in the big leagues. Of course he'd be a liability guarding a guy like Billups but there aren't that many 6'4" point guards out there anymore. I'd be pleased if he went to my Knicks.

you have to think that these teams only have one goal on defense - contain Curry - and he's still averaging over 30 points a game. anyone that is able to create their own shot like that will have a place in the NBA. i see him as a smaller Monta Ellis

He's the same size as Monta if not a bit bigger

Its a decent comparison but Curry is more of a shooter and Monta is more of a slasher

Monta barely shoots any threes
