First off, Im not overly handy and want a good job done, so Im not doing it myself. Can anyone recommend a good place that does good installation work.

I put mine in myself.

Lowes and HD both offer installation services. I would probably start there.

Lowes and HD contract installation out to the lowest, shoddiest contractors they can find.

I recommend PDS Flooring -- http://www.pdsflooring.com - yeah their website is circa 1997, but they do floors, not web design.

If I remember correctly, my brother had hardwood floors installed in his house by a neighbor. He bought all the materials, ripped up the carpet, etc. and the guy just went through and installed the floor.

So check your neighbors!

installing hardwoods is one of the easier "major" home upgrade you can do.

it's tedious and time consuming, but easy.
