It's because we're on a roll.

We're playing better than Miami right now, of course they are going to pick us.

I remember the last time we played them at home. I believe it was college gameday, the fair was there, everyone was hyped, and Devin Hester came in and returned the opening kick for a TD. They proceeded to destroy us.

The lesson here is to not underestimate superior athletic ability.

I need people to say what I say.

"Miami is going to steam roll us."

There is no chance in hell State goes to a Bowl game!"

^^ I was in the stadium for that one.

It sucked.

But Miami isn't as good now as they were then.

^^ Ah yes, 2004. I had front row seats to that game that I gave to my suite mate.

i cringe every time i see someone say anything along these lines.

it is not a burden to have the slightest of expectations.

whatever. I go into every game expecting to win. Sometimes we do, sometimes we don't. Whatever i expect isn't gonna change the outcome of the game. I expect us to win saturday, get to a bowl game, and win then as well

Ok so whenever BEU posts in Sports Talk, I've learned to just skip over it.

NC State football is the laughing stock of the ACC. Our QB is shit, our O-line runs amock like lost sheep, and there's no way in hell we can pull this one out. GO MIAMI

i too was there in '04 and watched Miami run back the opening kick-off just as we got to our seats (traffic was horrible that game)

it was a horrid game but we were one of the few groups that stayed until the very end, and it was after that game that Chuck gave me his sunglasses as he went back into the tunnel after the game

it's a pretty cool souvenier to have

^^I don't remember a lot of people leaving during that game....

We had a lot of trick plays... all kinds of reverses, a fake punt, fake field goal, fumblerooski, etc...

^I dont recall a fumblerooski...I do recall TA with a big run that he fumbled into the endzone at the end, resulting in a touchback for Miami . It was still a ball game at that point too (we traded the lead back and forth for the first 20+ minutes of the game). That killed it though I think.

I'm positive that the Miami game in 04 was full well into the 4th quarter. People may have left early once we were out of it but we only lost by 2 scores.

That TA fumble was amazingly typical of his entire career. I still shake my head thinking about that. That ties the game if we just punch it in from the 1 on first down which we looked like we could do.

I am a sad case.

I started paying attention and caring after Rivers left.

All I have seen are Davis, Stone, Evans, Beck, and Burke until this year.
