TO BREAK A TIE WITHIN A DIVISION

If two or more clubs in the same division finish with identical records, the following steps will be taken until a champion is determined.


Two Clubs 1. Head-to-head (games between the clubs). 2. Best won-lost percentage in games played within the division. 3. Best won-lost percentage in common games. 4. Best won-lost- percentage in games played within the conference. 5. Strength of victory. 6. Strength of schedule. 7. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed. 8. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed. 9. Best net points in common games. 10. Best net points in all games. 11. Best net touchdowns in all games.

He broke through the line and was gone until he ran out of gas seemingly at the 10 and fumbled....

^ Well, they almost lost to KC, spotted Detroit 17 points (granted, before winning), and barely pulled out a W against NO despite Brees throwing three picks.

They've been playing a lot of close games -- games that Carolina won easily. I think it's a closer matchup than most people think.

Panthers probably still have to win 2 of 4 to get in.... TB and ATL have cupcakes for final games (OAK and STL).

The only good thing is that Dallas has an even tougher 4 games coming up that could land 3 NFC south teams in the playoffs....

Panthers almost have to win this game to win the division. Obviously will put one game up but you have to figure the Panthers are almost certainly going to lose when they go to play the Giants.

i totally disagree, i think tampa bay is way harder of an opponent than NY Giants, infact i would dare to say that the giants game will be a piece of cake

do not get misled by records and rankings, panthers match up better against certain teams than others, there is nothing in the giants that scares me,

the white border, and then the blue border would probably make it look fine...it wouldnt blend in with the black

i remember Jon Beason saying something early in the season about how the Panthers had a big surprise for all the fans later in the year but that he couldnt say anything

i take back my previous comment about the logo not working with a black helmet. i think this would look great with all black uniforms!

although, if this scheme were to be permanently implemented, the panthers would still continue wearing primarily their white uniforms due to heat. the black unis would be used during the colder half of the season and special occasion games.
