The Knicks raced to an 82-64 halftime lead behind 20 points from Lee. His basket with 3.4 seconds left let New York shatter the record for most first-half points at the present Madison Square Garden, set when Kansas City scored 81 on Dec. 8, 1979. “They had 82 points at half, so that’s a lot,” said Warriors guard and former Knick Jamal Crawford. “Some teams don’t get that in a game. We had to do a better job defensively and work on our schemes a little bit more.” The Knicks reached 100 points with 4:58 still left in the third quarter, then Lee put an exclamation point on it with the next basket, coming up with a steal and tossing himself a self alley-oop for a dunk and a 102-84 cushion. Al Harrington, traded from the Warriors to the Knicks last week, added 36 points and 12 rebounds. Wilson Chandler scored 16 points for the banged-up Knicks, who used only seven players. I've warmed up to Duhon after being stuck watching losing Knicks teams, it's nice to have a PG who plays D and isn't shoot-first.

** they actually threatened their own record twice within the same month, being on the losing side of a 173-143 contest against the Suns, and a 161-153 game against San Antonio

Highest with overtime was 186-184, Detroit over Denver in 1983. Amazingly, three people didn't score in that game
