Fellow Wolf Web and NCSU Grads:

Over the past 3 months my sister (Heba) and her husband (Ed) have been competing on the Biggest Loser. The competition ends next week, and it is now up to viewers to chose between Heba and Ed to compete in the finale this coming Tuesday.

Ed stated on tonight's episode that he would like all of his votes go towards Heba. Lets make this happen and bring the Biggest Loser title to Raleigh.

i voted for Ed, haha - but only because he said he wanted all his votes to go to Heba and i thought that was kinda wrong. either way, one of them is a finalist and one of them isn't - so i hope they both lose really big and take both prizes

ps - you've seen Heba over the last 3 months - has she lost a lot more weight????

actually i voted by phone, so i only got to vote once. i'm not gonna vote by email because i don't want to get spammed like crazy. but i'll write down the number and vote for Heba from work tomorrow, just so it evens out.

also, i just added her to Myspace - i hope she adds me! i was so happy when i found out they were from Raleigh. i've been rooting for them since Week One!!!

i really hope her and vickie don't keep in touch beyond the show. vickie is the biggest cunt i've ever seen. yeah tv editing can help formulate opinions, but i've watched every season so far and she's by far the most manipulative contestant they've ever had. the time she threw the challenge because seeing pictures of her kids wasn't important enough really sealed it for me

I agree about Vicky. I was really really really hoping that she was in the bottom 2, so her fate would be up to America. Because then she'd definitely be sent packing. I loathe her, and I can only imagine how the people close to her feel about her after watching this season. Sure she's lost a lot of weight, but she's so manipulative and spiteful it makes me sick.

I voted for Heba. I think I saw her at RDU about a month ago. At least she looked like Heba, was talking about the Biggest Loser, and talking about how it didn't register she had lost so much weight until her family told her.

Gosh I wish I'd seen her. She looked so great on the show last night, I can't imagine what another 2 months would have done to her. I'm glad the Raleigh couple made it as far as they did!

i really believe that heba being friends with vickie screwed her out of winning the viewers' vote, especially since it was by such a large margin. bob was absolutely right about that bitch gaining weight back, and i can't wait to see her fat ass at next year's finale (vickie that is)

yeah i think you're right. if heba had been in the top 3, i think her percentage would have won the competition for her. she lost like 47% right? i can't remember, but i've got it DVR'd so i think i'll go back and check percentages.

Yeah I think they specifically didn't show the percentages for the final after whatsherface weighed in, they just showed her weight. I believe she lost 46% though from my calculations in my head.

she started at 296 and she was 156 at the final....so she lost 140lbs which is 47.3%

Also, Phil (the bald guy) looked fantastic, but his wife looked sickly. She looked like she had starved herself. Her face was just so sunken in, it was almost sad. I mean, her body was knockout, but I definitely think she needs to eat a cheeseburger.

i don't watch this show but i know the basic premise - who is the target demographic for this show - skinny people or fat people?

it seems like skinny people would watch and think damn i know a lot of fat people that just sit on their asses and blame everything besides their self and at the same time feel good about the ones that lose a lot of weight

it also seems like fat people would watch this and think yeah i can do this too but a very large percentage end up giving up or never starting down the right path but maybe this gives them hope? at the same time i would think they feel good about the ones that lose a lot of weight

maybe they dont win the money but they are all a little bit healthier and maybe adding years to their lives and making a difference in their friends and families lives

^that may be the case, but more often than not, the people who lose drastic amounts of weight tend to gain it all back. of all the seasons they've had, the only winner to have actually continued to keep the weight off is the winner last year Ali. but then again, it has been less than a year since she won, so she may in fact gain it back. every other winner has gained at least half the weight back - and i'm betting if they tracked down ALL the biggest loser contestants for ALL the seasons, they'd find similar stories. but that's what happens when you suddenly lose 1) your personal trainer, 2) your secluded ranch hideaway, 3) your groceries hand-picked and healthy just for you, 3) 7hr+ workouts every day, 4) no responsiblity other than to eat, sleep, and work out, and 5) NO JOB, NO KIDS. it's sad, but true.
