I've looked at the help online and only found "it's vista, deal with it".

Any other solutions?

All the icons get squished and stay that way. Very annoying. Anyone found a solution yet? or is it just happening to me?

squished?? meaning....

don't know, you've messed with unchecking 'Align to Grid' or 'Auto Arrange' ?

actually, the issue has resolved itself (for now).

wtf.

a better description would be that when the computer came out of sleep mode (opening the lid of the laptop), the icons (while not changed in size), were pushed together - like they would be if they were at a lower resolution.

it hasn't happened again, so i can't take a screenshot.

perhaps when your laptop's screen is closed, it tries to send the signal out form the s-video port, which would have a resolution of at most 800x600?

Yeah, I was going to say I've only ever seen this happen when the computer gets put to sleep while attached to an external display (monitor projector), and then undocked/disconnected before being woken up again.

It also seems to be video card driver specific too, I know several people continually have this problem with nVidia cards, but not with ATi cards.
