I thought this would be a nice gift for my mom who has tons of old photos laying around. Im looking for a service she can just mail off the pictures and get a DVD in the mail later. I did not even see any real reviews of google. Problem is I have no idea which ones are any good. Any advice yall have would be helpful.

One day last week I sat down with 70 old family photos and my Canon LiDE scanner and scanned them in using Picasa3 ... took less than an hour to scan high res photos and the scanner automatically cropped out multiple photos from a single scan (ie, I put 4-6 photos on the scanner at a time depending on size). Picasa3 then made it very easy to adjust and retouch them, although I probably spent more time than most people would, I figured that I'd do it right the first time and get rid of all the dust and scratches.

Oh, and I wore white gloves the whole time and wiped off the photos and the scanner before scanning each time to minimize scanning dust with my photos.
